Coronavirus has changed the lives of many people across the world and is understandably a scary time for everyone. With many of us being asked to stay home and self-isolate, whether you’re working from home or staying home with the kids, we have a few activities which can help to keep you entertained.
Have a clear out
This is the best time to declutter your home. You can clear out your wardrobe, have a look at what items you haven’t worn in a while and maybe throw out/donate anything you haven’t worn in the last six months. It is easier to clear out one room at a time as you’ll know what you’ve done and what still needs to be done.
Read a book
Maybe you have a list of books which you’ve been planning on reading but haven’t had the time before. This is the time to read all those books and some may find it as an escape from everything that is happening in the world.
Watch TV
Just like reading a book, this is the time where you can catch up on a TV show which you may have started a few weeks or months ago and haven’t found the time to finish it. You may even decide to start watching a new show.
Do some gardening
As we are getting closer to summer and the weather has started to improve slightly, now is the best time to get out in the garden and get your flower beds ready for the summer. It is also a great way to get outside and in the fresh air without actually leaving your house.
Bake
Baking is a great way to stay entertained and especially if you have children. Children will love baking something exciting like cakes and it is something you can do together which they will also enjoy. Just remember to wash your hands!
Exercise
You may have seen on social media that home workouts are the new craze. You don’t need to go to the gym in order to exercise as it is really easy to do the same at home. Maybe you have a spare room which you can transform into your workout space or you can even just do it in your living room.
Play board games
Again, this is a great way to keep the kids entertained. Also, as they aren’t able to go to school at the minute you may be homeschooling your children. You can find board games which are also educational, and this will keep the brains active, but it may not feel so much like school work. Board games will also help to keep everyone off electronics for a bit.
Stay home and stay safe. Remember to follow government guidelines.
